Original Acrylic Painting by Martin Romanovsky: Bee Eaters 2

£225.00

Based on my observational photographs taken on site at East leake Quarry during summer 2017 when seven Bee Eaters, a rare summer vagrant, came to Nottinghamshire UK and decided to breed in the steep banks of this working quarry. This original painting measures 355mm x 278mm and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by me, the artist.  For the painting, I have used Winsor & Newton acrylic paint which has great pigment and really brings out the colours of these magnificent birds.

Original Acrylic Painting by Martin Romanovsky: Bee Eaters 2

This original painting measures 355mm x 278mm and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by me, the artist.

Thus far I have made five visits to the nesting site at East Leake Quarry near Rempstone, Nottinghamshire, UK to see the Bee Eaters which are rare summer visitors. It is so wonderful to be able to see these flying around here in the UK and to have them nesting here in the UK is sensational.  This week (late July) it was announced that all three nests at this site now have chicks in them.

My excursions to this nesting site allowed me to take sufficient photographs, using my Canon digital zoom camera, to compose this second acrylic painting.  For the painting, I have used Winsor & Newton acrylic paint which has great pigment and really brings out the colours of these magnificent birds.
