Harry: Original gouache painting by Martin Romanovsky, 305mm x 406mm, 2017.

This is a portrait of Harry, my sister’s dog.  Harry was a really lively, bouncey, full of beans character and best friend of Sally, my sister’s other dog.  Sadly Harry passed away a year ago back in May 2016. This pet portrait is A3 size (406mm x 305mm) and painted in Windsor Newton Designers Gouache on 98lb/160gms midnight blue Daler textured coloured paper.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nosey Nora: Original gouache painting by Martin Romanovsky, 305mm x 406mm, 2017.

Meet ‘Nosey Nora’ the inquisitive pussycat.  I was doing some volunteer work for the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, helping the team to repair the fencing at a wild flower meadow, when I noticed this nosey little moggie peering at us and obviously interested in what we were doing.  Out came my trusty camera to capture a few shots of her and later decided to use my photos to produce this painting in Winsor & Newton professional artist gouache pigment.  It gave me the opportunity to try out some new brushes too.  Thanks nosey Nora, you stared me into action!
