This is a stretched canvass painting in acrylic paint inspired by the fabulous vibrant colours of the Tuscan countryside.  I love the way that the fields in autumn become a blaze of bright colour often achieving hues that make the landscape seem unreal.  In this painting I have used a thick impasto style to give the painting texture evocative of the ‘flow and depth of the land’, the vineyards, the crops and the tilled earth.
